He may have sold half but I think its harder to be a white rapper than a black rapper because many people will dismiss you instantly when they hear white and rapper together. He deserves all the sales and success hes getting.

Eminem would still be massive even if black. Changing his skin colour doesn't change how artistically brilliant "97 Bonnie and Clyde" is. How striking and significant "Stan" and "Kim" are. Eminem being black doesn't change the chilling, Zeitgeist genius of "Sing for the Moment" or "White America". Sure he probably wouldn't of blown up as fast but being white closed as many doors as it opened for him. Originally they wouldn't even fucking sign him BECAUSE of that. Never forget that.

Look how much 2Pac still sold. He would of sold SOME less sure. But I don't agree it'd be half and I think he'd be even more respected. As there's still plenty of racist black rappers / people who begrudgingly admit he's good but still act like he's not that good. Simply because he's white but they try tip-toe around it.

Your skin colour doesn't change how great of an artist your are for better or worse. Eminem's gigantic impact has been entirely due to his craft. He may of had mainstream advantage and sold more records in places because he's white but don't kid yourself into thinking he wouldn't be just as huge if black. You saw how much 50 Cent did, this bullshit that white people don't listen to black rappers or that Em's just huge or AS huge because he's white. Get real.

Dre = the reason the hip-hop community paid attention to Eminem.
Race = the reason the pop community paid attention to Eminem.
Skill = the reason Eminem lasted in both worlds.

He'd still be huge, but I doubt he would've had as much mainstream success without the "white rapper" image.
