When do you think Em' will retire?

Postby Wisheezy » May 10th, '10, 21:37

I remember hearing in a Interview a lil while back that Em' wanted to retire properly forever pretty soon, though he says in Not afraid he's back and promises to not go back on that promise, so when do you think he will retire? One more album ?

We had this kind of thread not so long ago.

Anyway, I want two more albums (excluding Recov3ry). Then a CD of unreleased TES era tracks.

But I don't think he will completely retire. At least not in the next 7-8 years.

^Thanks Maybe.

He will be here for more than 4 years. Maybe not rapping, but producing.

This album, then his "retirement" album, and then he pulls a Dr.Dre and produces. He does that till "He grows weird and dissapears".

His kids are getting old enough where he doesn't have to be with them all the time.
He doesn't want to drive his kids crazy.
He doesn't have a wife.
He doesn't have a steady job.
Rap is literally his life and addiction at this point.
There's no way he'll be retiring soon.
I'll give him 10-12 years before he lets go.

Except for the addiction part, that might actually be why he retires. He'll basically have no family when his daughters move out. He doesn't need to worry about money at all. The only way I see Em staying in rap is if it's helping him with his addiction, but other than that, he might want to settle down soon.

Two more albums after Rvy then go seriously into acting and producing. Sign some GOOD artists to Shady and get SR to a place where it should be. Then slowly release albums of unreleased material from each era of his music.
