And where did Eminem say that?

Recovery means to recover and return to your normal ways. If you can give me another term for recovery, then maybe the album wouldnt be self explanitory

Lmao so you think you can deduct / predict the entire theme of his album just from the title. That's absurd. Did you do that from Relapse? I mean yeah he relapsed into his old ways in terms of shock rap and insanity for insanity's sake. But it was NOTHING like his old stuff and presented entirely differently.

You can never predict what an Eminem album will be let alone doing it from the title. He could be applying numerous perspectives on the title or hardly any weight at all. Could just mean recovering to his best but that doesn't dictate any of the sound. Can sound like whatever he feels is the best he can do right now.

So surely that would give more chance to Royce being on Recovery. Royce was with him since 99. Back to his normal rapping ways.

yea your right. i jus think it woulda been a better fit for relapse, cause the whole meet u in hell type of surrounding. but yea i get ur point

Exactly. Explain Encore to us then, professor. Because most would agree it was nothing like Eminem Show.

yea i agree with you totally eminembase. Thats wat makes eminem so great is the way he changes up entirely every album. Thats what makes him so unique. But Relapse was a relapse to his old ways. I dont know what you mean when you say it was nothing like his old ways, when he was rapping the same stuff just with an accent. But yea i can agree that we have no idea how Recovery will be just from a title (Bagpipes from Baghdad for example) but you can kind of get the idea that hes coming back for his crown. His hunger and thrist for the game is at a all time high.

Latest Tweet: @carter2580 clearly says #nowplayin EVIL BY WHO? thats the artist WHO..somebody got Eminem ITIS

Does that mean that the song is made by an artist called WHO, or that it really is Eminem? Mr. Porter spells worse than a child.

Yeah, I usually agree with EminemBase, except on the fact you just said. Relapse has the same crazy style, same random and absurd rhymes as The Slim Shady LP did, only with an accent and he's a serial killer instead of just a trouble maker

No Relapse was totally different to his old material. Not just because he was using accent variants and double-time flows.

It was entirely different in its presentation. In the way he chose to say things. The phrasing, he embodied a character on the album and became an eloquent psychopath. Before, he was himself but meaner. He was a twisted version of himself.

On Relapse, he's rapping as a totally different entity. He words things like a poet, he doesn't word things how he would naturally word them. Which is why I like Relapse. It feels much more intelligent. Not only that but it's not classic 1-2 punchlines. It's not even just shock rap. It's extremely graphic, descriptive storytelling and indulging in fantasy.

He becomes a narrator. He slips in and out of situations, he's still persona-juggling (as always) but to a much lesser degree here. He's very much working in a single-minded fashion. He's ironic and gleeful but it's much darker and he stays in character. Before he was talking to the listener, on Relapse he's much more... Taking the listener on a journey.
