Beat Similarities?

Postby Fa-Q » May 16th, '10, 11:09

If I knew how to embed I would have so sorry. But does anyone hear similarities between Cudi's "50 Ways To Make A Record"

http://m.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&warned ... h4ddUwAQ5M

And Eminem's "Murder, Murder"

Yeah it's the same sample.
I think it's from an old song which many rappers sampled, including Pac.

Why don't people get sued over this? Copyright infringement isn't a serious enough crime?

It just seems a little dumb. I get pulled over for going 5 miles over the speed limit so why do these guys not get sued for millions over stealing someone's work.

Always thought the some parts of the beat for Em's Infinite sounded somewhat like Mobb Deep's chorus on Shook Ones PT1(Not the classic PT2) They are not exactly the same but to me they have some sort of similarities. Em did say he always liked Havoc's beats and this was back when Mobb Deep were sick. Havoc worked on one track for Recovery yeah?
