Bigger hype, Relapse or Recovery?

Postby dR3 » May 23rd, '10, 22:54

I was pretty hyped up for Relapse, but after I listened to it, it just didn't feel like the "normal" Eminem album. You know, 95% serial killing content isn't the Eminem album we were used to, right?

But Recovery on the other hand, seems to be the "normal" Eminem album, so I'm way more hyped up for it than I was for Relapse.

What about you?

Before singles I would have to say Relapse, but after the singles Recovery, since Not Afraid is dope, and album can only be better :worship: ,while We Made You was whack, and after it I was 100% sure that the accent will be all over the album, and so my hype died

The Normal Eminem would do drugs, not sing happy songs like Not Afraid. He needs to go back to that Eminem Show flow because I doubt he will go to the SSLP days again.

Oh yeah I would just like to say Hell Breaks Loose is the best song on Relapse and should have replaced Old Time's Sake.

The buzz in the rap and kinda the music community is huge.

People are hyped.

As for me..I'm pretty much the same as I was for the Relapse...hyped as fuckkk

Yeah the verses were great, production was a little annoying, singing ruined it's replay factor for me. Despicable was tight, best remix he made in a long time.

I'd say I'm looking more forward to Recovery at this point. I was disappointed with the singles from Relapse, so it kinda killed some of the anticipation, but on Recovery everyone has been talkin about his "change in direction" , and he himself talked down on the accents, so I'm expecting big things here. Not Afraid is a good song, but I think there will be much better on the album. Bring on that leak
ahead of my time, in my prime, one of a kind, out of my mind

I think most were like like because the hype around him being back in the rap game was huge. Then after the 'He's back!!!' phase wore off, that happened. In general, Relaps was an awful comeback album.
