It'll obviously be a personal track about his life / career. Cinderella Man is a biopic about former heavyweight boxer James J. Braddock. That was his nickname.
His life and career echoes Em's in the sense of, he was once on top then everybody thought he was down and out, he was forced to focus on his family and fight for respect in hard times. So it's a metaphor and pretty much a perfect / convenient one.
