Could Recovery Be..

Postby csg370 » May 29th, '10, 18:35

The next best thing from Em? I mean, I was so upset seeing that tracklist with no Dre, 50, D12 or anything. But Pink and Rihanna are good, and it would be really interesting hearing them with a song with Em. So, here is where my brand new theory comes in. Check MMLP tracklist. There are only 2/3 songs with familiar features. Bitch Please II - Dre, Nate Dogg, Snoop, and Xzibit, Under The Influence - D12, and Amityville - Bizarre. That was it. On Relapse, there wasn't any D12 either, and just CAB with either Dre or 50 on it. So, maybe I looked at it all wrong. Maybe this will turn out being the best album instead of the worst. (BTW, I think I am really hyped for the Pink and Rihanna songs.)

I'mma be what I set out to be,
Without a doubt, undoubtedly
And all those who look down on me,
I'm tearing down your balcony

Crown so tight that it cuts all circulation,
No air to the brain
No oxygen
Other words there’s no air(heir) to the throne

Fuck money, I don't rap for dead presidents
I'd rather see the president dead
It's never been said, but I set precedents

nothing will ever top his era of popping pills & making stuff like The SSLP
but I think Recovery will be good for this new era of hip hop whether I heard it or not

Given the fact he's aware he's had two mixed-received albums, spent so long crafting in isolated determination, has only had writing to mainly focus on, his current lyricism and new ideas / producers... Yes, I think it could be his best yet.

I'm worried, but for some reason today I'm feeling a lot more positive about Recovery. It's definitely going to be fresh, and EmBase got me pumped for that "Seduction" track.

Potentially it could be a phenomenal album. But none of us know yet. All I know is that if he can't pull it off this time, then he never will. So let's hope he can.
