Maybe, there are a lot of boybands with groupie fans for instance, but I do also hear a lot of girls saying "omg I loooooove Eminem, he's so hot" so... I mean, every time I watch a TRL show featuring him there are girls screaming n crying their eyes out and that's pretty groupie-ish.
