It's an opinion lol. He probably said it to get a few more Wayne fans, bump up the sales. There's pretty much 2 categories of rap listeners: Those who like Wayne and those who don't. And those that like Wayne usually don't like Eminem, so I'm thinking it was a good strategic move.
