Red Dead Redemption

Anyone else liking the look of this game?

For those who don't know, it's a Rockstar game in a western setting, with the typical GTA sandbox style. Coming for the 360 and PS3, and it looks pretty good overall. You can pull off typical shit like train robberies, go hunting and skinning, collect bounties on outlaws (dead or alive - alive apparently involves a much more grueling process of fighting through the outlaw's goons, lassoing him/her and then tying said outlaw to the back of your horse, and making it back to a certain point all with more goons chasing you...) Alongside this is the obvious story missions, in which you follow the protagonist John Marston.

I don't really know what to say it, so I'll let the videos talk for me...

(Multiplayer looks good, with a couple of twists I have yet to see in games like this...)

The first one I never played, but I hear it was really good.

I feel that this will come out well, although I thought that about Nier, the 2nd Godfather game and Final Fantasy XIII...But Rockstar almost always delivers on they're hyped games, so I've got much hope.

Anyone else liking the way they'll start of the competitive multiplayer games, with the standoff to decide who gets first pick of sniper points?

I've been playing this a lot lately. It get's pretty addicting. The fact you can't swim in the game is a little lame I think, I know that John said in one of the missions to Mexico he couldn't swim... but still.

The multiplater on the game is great I think, I've had loads of fun with it so far. I'm at level 50, unlocked the buffalo rifle, the bull. The bull is pretty cool... me and my mates completed Fort Mercer in 57 seconds. No bullshit.

Damn, how long did it take you to get to level 50? I'm 17 right now and just unlocked the new shotgun.

Not long. The easiest way to level up is doing Fort Mercer with another guy and just keep on repeating it... usually you can get that done in under 2 minutes if you know what you're doing, where to go, ect. It's better if another person does it with you, don't get too many people doing it with you though 'casue you won't earn as much XP.

Do you have this for the Xbox 360?

Awesome! I'll add you, my gamertag also: -edited-. I can help you get to level 50 if you want but I won't be online until the 15 of June due to some shit I have to clear up. Doing Fort Mercer on your own can get a little tiring so in the mean time if you want to get to level 50 with ease I suggest you hit one of your mates up and see if they'd like to do Fort Mercer with you. I'll try to make it online sooner than the 15th...

Haha, okay then.

Whenever you see me online just hit me up with a party invite. I'm usually only playing Red Dead Redemption anyway.

Has anyone completed the single player yet? I thought the ending to the game was pretty good...
