This wont be a classic album, but a good album. He will never be able to make a MMLP.

^^^ wont back down is a good song, dont get me wrong. But, the fourth song of the album usually is one of ur best amd i dont think WBD carries the album to well. We'll see im not doubting cause i havnt heard the other songs, but em is at his best when he's out for blood (controversy)

Yes and I'm sure people thought he wouldn't be able to top SSLP with MMLP. Or MMLP with TES. Which, to many - He did. Three classics in a row.

So just because he had one average and one good now means nothing. Fact that he's put "everything he's got" into this I think is good signs it'll be a classic. If not then maybe he should... Figure the fuck out what is wrong with him as if he tries his HARDEST and still can't do it... Something very wrong.

To me MMLP & Eminem Show are Em in GOAT mode. He can still put out good albums but i believe with the work, effort and ideas he has this is the last time he can make an album at the caliber of those two. He wants to make a huge classic we can see that and i think if he can't do it now he won't ever. But I won't be dissapointed if he releases stuff slightly better then Relapse and Encore. Relapse with the Refill actually grew on me a lot if only that accent wasn't there

alright some Stan responses as expected lol.

What I was thinking is that he might not have it in him anymore, Jay-Z's lost it to a degree, so has Nas. We'll see.

And are you serious about Blueprint 3 even being considered a classic by some people?? It had like 2-3 good songs.

It had 3 songs I still play (Empire State of Mind, Run this Town, Already Home), some decent songs like D.O.A, but the rest was average at best. Dissapointing for Jay-Z imo.

What are your 10 good songs? Just curious.

I don't get why this should be his last shot at a classic. So if Recovery won't be equal to people's expectations it rules out a future creative spark (or whatever it's called in english :D)?

To me there's also a major difference between a great album and a classic. I still don't think Em has made "the perfect album" yet since there's been a fair share of fillers on every of his albums.

In my opinion you're damn lucky if you make just one classic during your career.

Yea but if you make one people expect you to make more. Every time Nas puts out an album, people will be wanting another Illmatic, even if they don't admit it. The question was whether Em is as good as he'll be right now, and if he fails, whether that rules out (well it can't rule out, maybe gives smaller odds) to whether he'll put out another classic
