You're Never Over

Postby robollama » Jun 8th, '10, 03:38

I know this is the Proof track we've all been waiting for... but what's up with the "cchhyyyooooooooOOoOoooouu" for the chorus? Seriously, is he trying to be funny/lighten up the mood or what? Cause that in no way sounds serious, so I'm wondering WTF it's supposed to be?

Damn you really think that? shit.. theres no way he was trying to be serious with that hook... no way... A normal "you" would have worked, but he threw in that "choo" shit...

I did wonder that myself. Maybe he thought it made it sound more emotional? God knows lol.

I still like the track though don't get me wrong

i don't really care for this song for that reason. it's not bad necessarily, i would just rather listen to the other songs.

He was making a song for proof, not you, and he was being himself for his best friend. Since he can't really sing he did the best he could for his best friend, which im sure proof woulda appreciated.
Predominantly, predominantly, everything's always predominantly
Predominantly white, predominantly black
Well what about me? where does that leave me
Well I guess that Im between predominantly both of em
I think if I hear that fuckin word again Imma scream
While I'm projectile vomiting, what do I look like, a comedian to you?
Do you think that I'm kidding?
What do I look like some kind of idi- wait a minute, shit, don't answer that..

This is my least favorite song on the album. I can hardly get passed the opening to the song. Could've used a better instrumental as well.

yea, that's where I am with most of the singing on the album, it all sounds too giddy for me to take it seriously, and it makes me question what he meant...

you guys TRULY think he was being serious with the "choo" hook? This is Eminem we're talking about... Same guy who made Lose Yourself, Sing for the Moment and Stan. He knows serious. :confusion:

He made it for Proof.

Now everyone can get off his back about Proof / making a Proof song.

i don't know about the others, but i have no issues with him making a song for proof. i thoroughly enjoy the verses. i was strictly commenting on the chorus.
