personally, i think the album was great overall BUT unlike his other albums, i felt eminem used the same style/voice in rapping all through the album (im not talking about the accent here), which made all the songs sound the same kinda
plus, he could of used Pink better (e.g. radio hit).
other than that its all good for now

No way do they. If they did I'd tear my hair out.

Can already tell the other Boi-1da track is "You're Never Over" (I think anyway) due to that loud, cheap annoying snare. His beats sound tacky as fuck.

Rest of the production is great though.

I also think that he should of used Dr Dre for all his songs,, they have the best chemistry and no one is better then dre in this business but i guess he wanted to try something different so

for example any of relapse songs beats is better than any beat in recovery

Why would u want dre again ? be similar material. hence why em went different on production. new direction. plus the dre beat sounded similar

he doesn't need different producers to go to a different direction

EminemBase wrote:No he used a few styles throughout the album. But many different flows.

He also used mainly one style throughout Relapse too. You have to do that to keep the album sounding consistent, it shouldn't sound like 20 tracks from 20 different rappers. Point is, he makes every ALBUM sound different.

He used mainly the same voice throughout SSLP, MMLP and TES... AND Encore. He switched up his flows on all of them from track to track but toneatically mainly the same. This is part of what defines his albums.

So of course he's going to sound similar on many Recovery tracks. But the flows are totally different. And just to give you a huge contrast in sound "Won't Back Down" vs. "You're Never Over" for starters.

Too much shouting. his shouting = the accent of this year.

Needed story telling. Every other album had phenomenal story telling, SSLP to Relapse, there's none on Recovery.

I expected a much different album based on the cover. I pictured it being a little more tame and somber, the album doesn't really fit the cover. Not really a criticism but just an observation.

The singing on Your Never Over, verses are killer, hype production, but that singing, leave it out Slim!

Honestly so far I have none, but I've only listened to the album once, when I listen more I'm sure I'll find some but to everyone mentioning the "shouting" I really don't hear it, his voice sounds pretty normal for the most part O.o

Oh well no complaints...so far
