My Review Of Nas God's Son.

Image

The First track of 2002 God's Son May be my favourite intro track to an Album.
"Get Down" witch Samples Funky Drummer by James brown.

But My favourite Track of the entire album and maybe, in my opinion the best Nas Song ever made is "Dance" produced by Chucky Thompson for The Hitmen... here's a link to it if you havent heard it yet.

The tribute to his mother.

The Album shows his more deep side, It still has its good old nas tracks like "Made you look" and "last real nigga alive" but lyricly its by far my favouite Nas Album
I Give it 10/10

I was saying that in that other thread. I like 'God's son' and 'Stillmatic' a lot more than 'Illmatic' and if it wasn't for the hype around Nas' first album cuz he was very young then and was on other classic tracks outside of it at the time too, I think people would regognize those other 2 albums of his as better ones. Nas was really at his best then but went in another direction after that and I don't really like anything his from 'Streets disciple' until now.

I really like God's Son but I could have done without "Zone Out", "Hey Nas" & "Warrior Song". They aren't bad songs but to me they take out that classic feel the rest of the album has.

It's actually a pretty good album overall. It's like Nas goes on a roll for a couple albums, releases an average, sub par album, then repeats.

Zone Out is the best Nas song ever, along with Oochie Wally.
Nas needs to stay the fuck away from the Bravehearts.
