What's the difference between rap and hip hop???

hip hop is more of club songs like the cash money millionares and rap is like ll cool J where people do crazy ryhmes and shit like that.

Wat the fuck? Hip hop is a the culture - its the other word for Zulu nation, formed by Afrika Bambaata.

its graphitti, break dance, djing, and music put together,
rap is the MUSIC.

ok so i sorta get it now....

so hip hop is what represents all black culture...like the music and everything and rap is the lyrics????

damn its still a little confusing :confusion:

Its not exactly part of black culture.

Its just a mix of old techniques and the trends they had, back in the days. Like say for example , why adidas was so popular in hip hop culture - as clothing in the early days.

Its just a general word to anything that relates to that certain style.
