Square Dance vs WTP: WTP
Soldier vs Going Through Changes: GTC
Say Goodbye Hollywood vs Not Afraid: NA
Drips vs Seduction: Seduction
Without Me vs No Love: NL
Sing for the Moment vs Spacebound: Tie
Superman vs Cinderella Man: CM
Hailie's Song vs 25 to Life: 25
When The Music Stops vs So Bad: SB
Say What You Say vs Almost Famous: AF
Till I Collapse vs Love the Way you Lie: TiC
My Dad's gone Crazy vs You are Never Over: YANO

Sure, comparing some songs with others is like apples to oranges, but still, Recovery feels better balanced and, like I said before, almost filler free.

Guess we have very diff. opinions, cause this is how I'd rate it:

White America vs Cold Wind Blows: WA
Business vs Talkin' To Myself: TtM
Cleanin' Out My Closet vs On Fire: CoMC
Square Dance vs WTP: Square Dance
Soldier vs Going Through Changes: GTC
Say Goodbye Hollywood vs Not Afraid: Say Goodbye Hollywood
Drips vs Seduction: Seduction
Without Me vs No Love: NL
Sing for the Moment vs Spacebound: Sing for the Moment (one of my all time favorite songs ever)
Superman vs Cinderella Man: CM
Hailie's Song vs 25 to Life: 25
When The Music Stops vs So Bad: When the Music Stops
Say What You Say vs Almost Famous: AF
Till I Collapse vs Love the Way you Lie: TiC
My Dad's gone Crazy vs You are Never Over: YANO
So it's 8:7 Recovery :o
That's weird, I didn't think it'd be that close actually. I guess nostalgia does have a big part of it. TES was the album that got me into Em so maybe that's why I'd still prefer it a bit over Recovery.

GTC over soldier? soldier is one of greatest songs em's ever written, and flow is rediculous on it
My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise
And at the same time, make you dry your eyes with the same rhyme
See what you're seeing is a genius at work

Soldier is solid, but it lacks something. GTC is an amazing, profound song. You don't get more serious than that.

I think people need to stop comparing everything. TES is classic but it was long time ago. Things were much different. We can listen to his old stuff whenever we want so why bringing it up over and over again?

We have new HQ music so finally enjoy it without analysing everything. :b:

agreed.. it sounds like most of these people first heard em through encore or relapse then went back to his old stuff. at 9 years old i remember begging my mom to take me to the mall to buy the Marshall Mathers LP, which took like a week to convince her and i wasnt allowed to let my dad know i had it or anything lmao. but as soon as i got it i threw it in my CD player, layed in bed and listened to it on repeat for idk how long. still listen to MMLP and TES over and over and over til this day. probly start again in about of week when i get sick of Recovery lol

Just a sidenote for you people comparing tracks that have the same position on different albums and thinking you can make a legit conclusion: not so smart. Worst thing about you guys is that you skipped Won't Back Down on position 3. wouldn't that change your comparison? so that's 2 mistakes in one attempt to compare two album. I'm not as active on this board as some, but I think I'm not part of the hype when I say:

with that change:

WA/Cold wind blows: WA
Business/ Talkin to Myself: Talkin To Myself
Comc/ on fire: comc
Square Dance/ Wont Back Down: Square Dance
Soldier/ WTP: Soldier
SGTH/ GTC: SGTH
Drips/ Not Afraid: Not Afraid
Without Me/ Seduction: Without Me
Sing For the Moment/ No Love: Sing For the Moment
Superman/ Spacebound: Spacebound
Hailes Song/ Cinderella Man: Hailes song
WTMS/ 25 to life: 25 to life
say what you say/ so bad: say what you say
TIC/ Almost famout: TIC
My Dad's gone crazy/ LTWYL: LTWYL

TES: 10, Recovery:5

This is a pointless way to compare an album but i did it for the hell of it haha.
its really not worth comparing the 2 albums at all, Em's matured and is a totally different rapper.
not a worse rapper, just has a new style and is putting out different kinda music. at least hes off that drug and serial killing shyt.

People.

The Eminem Show is like a bible to some of us we still bump songs from it from time to time it was the album that got me in to Em and i really apreciate it.

but in 5 years i think we will rate Recovery over TES.
The devil ain't on a level same as him!

how about counting the number of fillers and GREAT songs in each. I think TES will have more GREAT songs but more fillers as well. Recovery has no filler IMO. Some one might argue that having A+ songs and fillers is better than having an album filled with A songs. Not exactly the situation but you get the point. Subjective
