I think that they were what he felt at that time... He didn't not release encore or relapse so he obviously liked them at the time.

Yeah but it is what it is, recovery would have never been what it was if it wasn't for those two albums.

While its fair to think that, I dont think this album would ever be as good as it is if he didnt go through the growing pains as both an artist and person. Try to imagine hearing this right after TES...I honestly cant imagine.

I was a senior in HS listening to the Eminem Show bumping Till I Collapse and all the other hot tracks. To transition to such positive and inspiring music would have been much too fast I think.

It happened this way for a reason...you live and learn and thats what he did I think.
