Remember Em's CLASSIC Live Performances...

This is one of my favourite...

CRIMINAL

I mean he's lost his sense of rhythm. Just look at that, how smooth and natural he is, he's made out of elastic, energetic.

(before you read the first line and criticize, please do me the justice of reading the whole post / if you can. As I justify what I claim)

I have ADHD and for a lot of reasons think Em has it. All you need to know to see Em has it is this: ADHD is essentially a lack of mental stimulation (dopamine). Before he used to go on stage he said he'd always take an E or get a bit drunk. Which makes sense given how loose and natural he looks, it takes the edge off and makes anybody with disorders stimulated to a more normal level.

But now, now that he's completely sobar, doesn't do anything it's like he's exposed. He's just his bare-bones self, he's awkward because of a lack of stimulation. Just look at his interviews for this. Rarely cracks a smirk, has next to nothing to say or add to the conversation. This is a lack of natural stimulation. Dopamine is what allows people to stay stimulated through conversations or situations that aren't immediately interesting to their brain. This is why people with ADHD / Bi-Polar (when on lows) appear bored and unhappy.

I mean when Em performs a song with as sung chorus now it's like he has no idea what to do with himself. A lack of stimulation also fucks up your self-awareness and sense of rhythm. Almost all basic human functioning is heavily influenced by your neurotransmitters. The levels they're naturally at and the uptake you receive from external activity.

Em was self-medicating with previous drugs, people with disorders such as ADHD and Bi-Polar get addicted a lot easier and find it harder to break habits because they're starting out so LOW and then once they find something that gives them a HIGH, the drop from that HIGH is so LOW they can't bare it and instantly need to 're-fuel' so to speak. The drop isn't as 'steep' for most people. This is precisely what creates addictive / obsessive brains. ADHD brains are also underdeveloped in their 'working' memories. This is 'task to task' memory and a lack of it is what creates sporadic thinking as Em consistently displays through his music and lyricism. Line to line.

BUT, they're typically equally overdeveloped in another department of the brain which basically creates a state of... Too much thought and not the right equipment to handle it. To quote Em "My brain's on hyperdrive, someone put the breaks on" - Would just about sum that up.

And also part in part why Em is so incredible at rap, rhyming and wordplay. Pushing everything to the extreme. You'll often find many creative 'geniuses' have the strong symptoms or have been diagnosed with ADHD, Bi-Polar or Autism. It's because these conditions create addictive, obsessive brains which manifest in extremity and can pro-create and fixate for so much longer than most people can bare to stand. This is why they create at a higher level and people call them 'genius'. Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais, there's many example. Em definitely has it and I have a lot more behavioural evidence that I think shows he does.

Seriously though he needs to sort his live performance out because until he does he'll never be that exciting again.

Does anyone think that the possibility that his real hype man, and former best friend is no longer with us and that probably has a big effect on his live performances?

No, he's lacking in natural rhythm. He can't sway or rock smoothly now, he's uncomfortable in his own skin, looks like he's constantly trying to figure it out in real-time.

Lack of stimulation my friend.

I don't believe in adhd or add, I think it's all bs. The whole reason ridalin was made was to shut kids up and stay in school, now tell me who wouldn't rather be out side then listening to sum old fart talk about shit you could carless about. Meds ruin peoples lives because people get the idea that since a doc said it's ok t take then it must not be bad for you.

Idk just my opinon, I guess I'm "normal" and alotof my boys have "ADHD" and I call t bullshit, just a excuse to get high.

Oh and anyone would feel more cofortable buzzed, anyone. I just think he's got anxiety cuz he hasn't done it in a while plus he's like a different person. Just my opinon so don't go all dr.dopamine on me lol. I understand the chemicals in your brain, many drugs actualy deplete your chache dopeamine, seratomum(sp) ect.
