To me the word love is overused in society, seeing how people mostly just say it when they're having a problem with their gf/bf.
The way I define it though is finding someone who you believe you could settle down with, and doing whatever it takes to keep it going, unless there's disrespect.
I hate when people have kids before they breakup though, that's one of the most fucked up things to do to your kids imo. They might grow up to be better at something in one aspect, but they're always going to be missing that other half that would of been there.

Yes...it's just people think too much of it. I love most people that I see everyday. If I have any consistent interactions with someone that involve more than just business then you probably care for that person.

I've been in situations where my feelings for a chick directly impacted my own life decisions.
That combined with the fact that one person can completely alter the way you feel at any given time by doing things that normally wouldn't change anything..
