Do you think Recovery would be a classic if Dre produced it?

Again, what I meant by Dre producing the whole album. I meant that Eminem would have the same type of songs as he did in Recovery, only difference would be that Dre produced it. For example: How do you think Not Afraid or Going Through Changes would have sounded like if Dre produced it?

You ever wonder that maybe that's what he was going for? Maybe he wanted to switch his style of production for once, which is why he went with so many different producers. I bet Eminem has the mindset that if people like the my old style better, then go back and listen to his old albums. Maybe he didn't want to make the type of music he's made before.

I completely disagree, Dre's beats go with the way that Eminem flows over it and what kind of lyrics he has. Dre produced So Bad and Ridaz perfectly with the way Eminem flowed and what he was saying. If he had produced Not Afraid or Going Through Changes, I think he would have went a different way with producing those tracks. This is all opinion tho, I could be wrong.

I don't see Recovery as Eminem going with the crowd. I think Eminem was just trying to do something different. and you keep saying that what he did on Recovery is not who he really is. You gotta accept that maybe he is changing from the way he used to be. You may not see this as real hip hop but I prefer Recovery to anything that's out in rap right now. and I am not a stan, I am very critical to what Eminem does. Since I am not afraid to admit that Encore and Relapse were horrible. I expect alot when Eminem comes out with an album, and Recovery was exactly what I wanted to hear.

It would sound like Relapse.

And it would have been called Relapse 2, and the material would not be the same.

Relapse had a dark feel to it because of the lyrics that Eminem had throughout the album. Recovery was not dark at all, I don't think Dre would of had the same type of vibe if he produced Recovery.

haha u're getting alot of hate for making this thread... i see what u're saying though,,, dre's beats are alot cleaner and theres just something thats just amazing about them,, i mean so bad is one of the cleanest songs on recovery,,, it's produced and mixed perfectly,,, not saying its the best song,, but its production is dope..... I think having eminem work with other producers got him to do what he did on recovery and change his flow and delivery from relapse,,, and i think eminem is ready to go back to dr.dre and still be able to have all that emotion and everything else.../.. arg i dont know how to best explain what i'm saying but thats the best i cud do........

bullshit. The beats on Recovery are nothing to brag about. With the way Em sounded on this album, i think he should have spit over a few more Dre beats. Why go from having Dre produce everything on Relapse, to just 1 song on Recovery? If you have read all the reviews, the beats aren't being praised too heavily. I still think Eminem sounds best over a Dre beat.
