This review is obviously trying to persuade rather than inform, it's even even defending Recovery against another review that was negative, it's obvious

This shit is just as biased as the pitchfork review, only in the other direction

A review isn't clinical. Art is largely influenced by taste so as objective as you can be, you can't totally disolve personal like / dislike out of the equation.

So the fact that reviewer LIKES the album isn't a mark against it. Problem with Pitchfork / Slant is that, well, with the latter anyway - It's VERY obvious they think Eminem is homophobic and are letting personal issues (unrelated to the material) jade their opinion. They're going out of their way to be negative.

Where as this positive review isn't doing that. They're praising the work but justifying their praise with logical breakdown. Totally different thing and that certainly doesn't equate to them being stans.
