it seems to me that people think it's 'cool' to criticise Eminem. particularly on this forum. "that song had no good rhymes, it was basic, therefore it's a bad track"

I assume this is based on my comment on the Space Bound thread? I was talking about the song as a whole, that I find boring, not just because there are basic rhymes. Talkin 2 Myself has even more basic rhymes but I think its a good track.

People are allowed to criticise his work. Just becuase, in my opinion, he's the best ever, doesnt mean I can't say that he has some poor rhymes/songs.

"i can't wait until the Recovery hype dies down and people realise that the album isn't actually that great"

This was based on my comment in Backstage?

I like Recovery a lot, if you read that topic properly you'd have realised I was talking about the new members (not all, some) who join when Rvy leaks and add nothing to debate with boring comments.

Cheers for making a topic purely on my comments though, I appreciate it, :y:

People Nit Pick, its not exclusive to eminem, it works the same for anybody who's been around for a substantial amount of time and achieves that level of success. The longer your on top and the more succesful you are, the more people start looking for reasons to discredit you.

Its the way the world works, If you work in a factory or whatever, the guy who makes the most money or gets the promotion is the guy everyone else complains about on lunch breaks and shit, lol

what the fuck.

Eminem has proved over and over that he is easily one of the most skilled rappers known today. he's the best selling rap artist in the last decade, which says a lot. yet people seem to slate him, just so they look 'cool' or make it appear as if they know more about Hip Hop because they think Eminem isn't that good. "i listen to real Hip Hop, so i know that Eminem isn't that good really. i know of and listen to several unsigned underground rappers, so therefore i know more than you and i'm right, you're wrong"

there is a reason why Eminem tops the charts with every album.
Yeah, i don't really know whats wrong with people in this forum, they think they look "cool" when they throw jabs at Em on their comments everytime, I'm not gonna name names but theirs some guys in here who want to clearly feel "superior" to the other onliner's in here, which is sad, because its just a forum, not real life

"I measure my success by the number of haters I have." ~ Riley Freeman (Boondocks)

but on topic, I agree with you a lot. I'm ok with the ones in this forum... even though Mike does sometimes sound like he's doing it to sound cool at least he gives reasons. The really annoying ones are the freaking "professional" critics who give this album a 2/5 and just say "eminem has lost it"/"album is generic and boring" and then you realise they gave Thank Me Later (no hating on Drake but seriously anyone can see that Recovery is way better) a 5/5. WTF? They definitely do it to look cool.

I honestly don't do it to sound cool? What would I be gaining from that. Eminem is my favourite rapper ever but when he does something I don't like I'm not just gunna say nothing.

I post more pro-Eminem comments than anti ones.
