Eminem & Lil Wayne's chemistry

Postby dR3 » Jun 26th, '10, 19:33

This was so unexpected for me, they have great chemistry together (no homo). I mean, they've created two really great songs (scratch Forever), and I can't decide which is better (I used to like DTW more, but now they're kinda equal since I got to know the lyrics of No Love better).

And Wayne actually stepped his game up big time, I like that.

Well, what do you think? Can they make more (I don't wanna say this word but fuck it) classic songs together?

I wouldn't say they have a great chemistry.

Those two songs, they made independent of each other. As in, they weren't in the studio and they didn't brainstorm.

When you think about it, "Drop the World" would of been an okay song without Em, he just made it a bit better. And "No Love" would of been good without Wayne, he just made it a bit worse.

i totally agree with you dr3.lil wayne gives a nice build-up to em's verse.both collabs are fuckin amazing.and if dtw had wayne in the backdrop during em's verse i would've had a hard time choosin the better song.

Are you sure they weren't in the studio with each other for "No Love"? I remember Just Blaze twittering something like like "megamartianmathersing" or some shit like that. It was after DTW leaked or around the time they shot the video for DTW, but I think "No Love" could have been done with them in the studio because they filmed Weezy's part before he went to jail, and probably did the song while they were around each other after the grammys.

and a little off topic, I remember Drake twittering "Eminem > All" out of the blue, I think he might have heard his verse on "No Love" :y:

Em wrote Waynes verse...that's why its good....imagine Em rapping it...it makes perfect sense...plus Wayne never raps fast like that and he can't even keep up with the beat

Lil wayne just needs to step his game up. If he was rappin like he did on Carter 2 and some of those mixtapes he came out with (BTW, some of those tracks on the mixtapes are lyrically better than most of what wayne puts out of official albums) then he could actually hang with Em. He's just changed so much as an artist I dont think he can go back to it.

The first song on Carter 2 is crazy.

BM JR from C1 is nuts.

Gossip is crazy.

The song he did with T.I's seat down low beat on the drought 3 is bonkers.

Lil wayne is a fuckin beast. There is a reason he is where he is at in the game, he just lost it when he went mainstream. And to be perfectly honest, the verses he has done with eminem have been his worst verses I have ever heard from him. They are slow and simple. The shit he did on the No Ceilings mixtape blow his verses he's done with Em out of the water.

Lil Wayne is a perfect example of quanity over quality. And Eminem is a perfect example of Quality over quantity. When these two artists come together they clash imo. And this is coming from someone who consideres Eminem and Lil Wayne to be his two favorite rappers. So its a shame in my eyes. I would love for Wayne to go off on a song with Em like he used to. But in order for that to happen, I think Eminem needs to jump on a track lil wayne is comfortable with. Those hard rap beats. I dont have the word for it, but everyone should know what Im talkin about when I say a "lil wayne beat" - unless the only wayne they've heard is shit thats on the radio and rebirth. Which doesnt show what wayne is as an artist. Which is again....a shame.

To sum up. Wayne has been awful on tracks with em. Forever was his worst verse of all time. Hands down.

Was it really necessary to say no homo? Are people really going to take it that far and get homophobic? I don't know.

Anyway, I agree with you. They really do feed off each other and "Drop the World" and "No Love" they compliment each other. Wayne has influenced Em into getting into metaphors more often and Em has influenced Wayne to ditch the auto-tune and really spit some great lines.
And everything's spinning

are swimming in pink linen again in the sink
Then in a couple of minutes that bottle of Guinness is finished

So does dr.dr3 have the fastest post count climb in forum history?

I think it was a month or 2 ago you have 5 or 6 thousand posts. That shit is ridiculous. You have wayyyy to much time on your hands b.

You average 40 posts a day for christs sake
