he'd been skipping there awards 3x in a row and BET boycotted Obie's new single with Akon. He was still signed to Shady records...so eminem agreed to show up so that they could start airing Obie's video...sweet story huh?

There really isnt any Eminem off the dome. Any time he's freestyling its random shit that he had written down and remembered or something. Rarely a rapper, who is trying to make a name for himself, will put himself at the mercy of rhyming words at the pace of whatever beat someone throws at them. Its not like they have a verse written and memorized, but thats how battle rappers work. They have certain lines that they can use for battle rappin, and kinda just throw random ones at the person.

Perfect example - Rap Olympics. None of that shit was really off the dome.

he's said it himself on the Emsee interview, rap battles people have a bunch of pre-written punchlines but they also have to make up some stuff "spontaneously"...i made a thread in chit-chat section asking for Eminem Off the dome, there were good examples.

what's funny is I remember when it first happened and everyone was just happy to see the guy out in public again. Then when they started to replay his verse is when the started.


The beat was so loud and thumping, u really weren't paying attention to what he was saying at first. It wasn't until u kept going back when u noticed it sucked.

Yeah, I remember that I thought it was cool to see him. Only cool part about it is when he says "I'm screaming in the wrong part of the song", cuz all the other rappers start going crazy at a specific moment in the beat, but he did it right away.
