That's because Em really mixed his insane talent for lyricism, choosing great beats from a variety of people and a handful of pop into this album. It really has something for everybody. I think what really sold it was word of mouth though. After was out of the limelight for a while, his Relapse CD was not well recepted and did not appeal to the masses and pushed away many fans. He flushed what was left of the drugs out of his body, accepted Proofs death (to an extent), listened to his fans and went out out to prove something on this album. It felt like on Relapse he was just playing and toying around.

Yeah i keep seeing idiots put the lyrics from Love The Way You Lie on their Facebook and it annoys the shit out of me. They're so stupid, because he spends almost all the album hating on women and then he has one semi-love song with Rihanna and they all go crazy for it like ignorant bitches.

The supportive and optimistic part of me is happy about it, but the snobby long-time fan douche part of me looks down on them for just now discovering his greatness.
