Learn what the word pretentious means you fucking retard. Just because I type a lot and use good grammar doesn't mean what I'm saying or my presentation is pretentious. I type exactly what I'm thinking at all times, not one post on this board has ever been pretentious from me. I'm trying to be as honest as I can be, with myself and with other people. Always. I can't stand lying or saying things I don't feel are correct so I can guarantee you I'm never pretending to be something I'm not.

Reason I focus on grammar a lot, again, I'm a perfectionist... Well, just an obsessive person and I can't stand seeing errors in what I'm saying. In any sense. So just have to, by nature, try and get every single word on-point with what I'm thinking and on-point grammatically. As for using more descriptive words sometimes, that's simply to try and say what I'm thinking in the best detail possible.

Nothing pretentious about explaining yourself or being long-winded. I over analyse, I write a lot and I have a short fuse. But I'm not pretentious. Idiot.

but this is how i like to look at it, he has two options:
-do what you want
-do what you want AND still make your fans happy
with recovery he went for the second option. nothing hypocritical about that.

He's being hypocritical by saying other people's views on what he's doing are now totally oblivious to him but then directly using them to influence his own direction. To the point where he even apologizes, quite clearly to win back people he feels he's alienated. Irrespective of which album is better or if he made the right decision, it's a massive contradiction in principle.
