First off, I agree in the sense of him saying he does what he wants, then does what he thinks the fans want (or doesn't continue to do what the fans don't like), is in a way being hypocritical. One thing i think you missed, and I could be wrong, is the fact that em has always said he does what he wants and says what he wants in his music. And when the fans didn't like the accent and content of relapse, I feel like he sensed that the album was not an album he would have normally done, like encore I guess because of him saying it doesn't count either.
So my point is, he has always done what he wants and the fans loved his music because of that, and if the fans suddenly don't like what he is putting out, maybe he believed he was therefore not being himself in his music. At least that's my opinion of the situation. Great topic btw

The whole human race is hypocritical. It's an element that belongs to our species. The fact that some men like to hit on random girls on the street, but get angry when some dude starts to flirt with his sister, is just one of the million examples that portray how hypocritical we humans actually are.
