You said it will fail in Itunes, and as you can see its still in top 10

it don't matter..it's still top 10 on iTunes
plus when you can sell 750k first week, radio is pretty much irrelevant

another hip-hop fan with first week obsession. Seriously, longevity is MUCH MUCH more important than first week sale. Relapse opened huge too but fell off radar right after that because of the lack of singles. BEP opened with 300k last year, half of Relapse yet they're keep selling and reaching 3x platinum now. Why? because their singles are successful.Unscarred wrote:Alaine wrote:^ NA is a fail at the radiowas I wrong? it didn't even get to top 20

yeah I did miscalculated a bit on sale, but it's a moderate hit, not a smash, and I was still right about its radio fail. It definitely did help sell the album though. Imagine if it had support from the radio like Cali gurls, it would have stayed on top longer.

Not that i care but ur totally wrong, where is BEP3 right now?
Relapse is still top 50, BEP3 is probably between 60-70. Not to mention Relapse is 300k+ away from BEP3!

it failed on the radio ok, never even made top 20. But overall I said it's still a moderate success because of the sale & the positive response.Revolutionary wrote:another hip-hop fan with first week obsession. 1, Relapse has a re-release 2, Recovery just got released, it's normal that people will buy Em's last album along 3, Em's numbers are USUALLY milless ahead of Jay-Z but this time it was so close, that's nothing to be proud of really.
