5 Eminem Masterpieces??

Postby rep2death » Jul 4th, '10, 09:32

Name 5 songs from Eminem which u regard as a perfect song...a masterpiece...a song where everything is perfect to you...and then give a SHORT summary as to why (doesnt have to be in order or anything...just 5 songs)

then post 5 runner ups.

here's my list:

'97 Bonnie & Clyde - Genius and original concept. Awesome and original delivery. Content is twisted and disturbing yet awe inspiring and funny all at once.

Marshal Mathers - Great lyrics. Satire is above and beyond. Funny yet proves a point. Concept is great.

Square Dance - This is Eminem in his prime. One of the only rap songs to make me wanna get up and act like im rapping on stage. Such a great song to bump with great political and social commentary. Showed that Eminem is very aware of his voice in hip hop and his power to address heavy topics with a dose of sarcasm.

Lose Yourself - Perhaps the most inspirational rap record ever recorded. Delivery is straight fire. Tells a story. Crazy rhyming and hard hitting hook.

Sing for the Moment - Great social commentary and deep undertones of what hip hop means to kids. Perfect example of mainstream that doesnt have to sound mainstream. One of the best sampled vocals i've ever heard in a rap song..its flows so perfectly with Eminems verses.

Runner Ups

Drud Ballad, Kill You, Like Toy Soldiers, Criminal and Space Bound

Till i collapse - ... this song is bonkers. delivery, & Rhyming was Lyrical as fuck.

Lose Yourself - ... Inspiring, Nice Message .. Dope

Beautiful - ... i kinda relate. to the whole wanting to be cool when i was young shit, sticking my toungue on a pole, making people laugh, Etcetera ... Gotta Message too and it's reallly nice lyrically.

Renegade - ... He Rippped Jay. Got a Nice Message. Real ill

Stan - .... Started a slang word for obsession over somebody lol. Sad as fuck too and the story tellling was nice. Another nice Message

Ha i like other songs of his more than some of those ^ ... but honestlyy i wouldn't call them a masterpiece. Their dope but didn't make an impact like those.

runner ups : Mosh, White America, Sing for the moment, 8 Mile And The Real Slim Shady (Maybee)

Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
