"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "

Almost Famous was what Underground tried and failed to be.

Well, you can't really say AF is "like Underground but better". The songs are quite different so not so easy to compare

They are totally different tracks if you ask me. Underground was about spitting while Almost Famous had a story to tell.

Underground has a story as well. Both have stories intertwined within random lyrics.

Underground is about the fact he's back and where he's been.

Cause last year was a tragedy that landed me smack dab in rehab
F*ckin doctor I ain’t even understand a damn word he said
I planned to relapse second I walked outta that bitch
Two weeks sobriety I ain’t enlightened
Biting into a f*ckin Vicodin like I’m a Viking
Oh lightning is striking it might be a f*cking sign I need a psychic

^That's telling a story. He's pretty much saying "I'm back and I'm gunna be spitting out my ass"

Almost Famous is saying "Heres how it all started and here I am spitting"

Both storytelling and just spitting.

Easily almost famous. (wordplay/better beat/harder flow)

Underground is simply awful.
