Eminem's No Love Voted His Best Collab

Postby RossMc » Jul 16th, '10, 02:10

Despite an incredible surge in downloads and airplay, Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" was not able to topple Katy Perry's "California Gurls" from its perch atop the Billboard Hot 100. Slim Shady and collaborator Rihanna will have to settle for another week in second place. Recovery remains the top album in the country by leaps and bounds, and with no high-profile albums dropping this week, Eminem is sure to remain at the top of the chart for at least another seven days, further extending his incredible run this summer.

If Mr. Mathers wants to keep the momentum going, perhaps he should release "No Love," his team-up with Lil Wayne from Recovery, as his next single, as the MTV Newsroom blog readers have declared it his greatest collaboration. "No Love" took the top spot easily with nearly 42 percent of the vote. The songs behind it shook out in a fascinating fashion, as The Eminem Show's "'Till I Collapse" (a tag-team with Nate Dogg) came in second with 25 percent. "Guilty Conscience" came in third with 12 percent, while "B---- Please II" finished just behind it with nine percent. "Crack a Bottle," "Bad Meets Evil" and "Never Enough" brought up the rear.

As some of the commenters noted, most of Eminem's best collaborations aren't actually located on any of his albums ("Renegade," from Jay-Z's The Blueprint, and "Dead Wrong," from the Notorious B.I.G.'s Born Again, were both brought up), but for the sake of simplicity, the poll was limited to tracks that came from one of Em's six full-lengths. But if the doors were blown open, we'd have to nominate "Go to Sleep" (which he shares with DMX and Obie Trice on the soundtrack to the film "Cradle 2 the Grave"), "What's the Difference?" (from Dr. Dre's 2001), Akon's "Smack That" and the remix to "Forever" that features Drake, Em, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.

No way.

Since they count "Till I Collapse" as a collab too, saying "No Love" is better than 'TIC' is like saying a gamecube has better graphics than an Xbox 360. It's just not true.

Yeah I am aware it's opinion. I was taking the piss, hence that little metaphor and summation 'it's simply not true'. Obviously I don't mean that, you don't always have to speak the EXACT truth of every matter lmao, I'm just joking. And so what if he's only on the hook, it's still counted in their poll.

Like EminemBase said, if you're going to count Till I Collapse, then it's Till I Collapse.

Heck, with the same logic they should've counted Stan, and it wins hands down :)

Menzo wrote:Maybe it can be considered his best collab for mainstream listeners, a lot - if not most - of his collabs don't hit the radio. It's a great song though, and it'd definitely rise to number 1 not only because Wayne is on it, but because it's obviously an outstanding piece of music, for both artists.

Speaking of TIC, Em should really get Nate Dogg on another fuckin hook.

didn't nate dogg suffer a stroke that left him paralyzed or somethin? but still, em and him always sound dope as fuck together :y:
