EminemBase wrote:^ Right... Because I've really defended "Just Lose It" or Encore so much before.

Trying to joke on the way I speak or break things down is one thing but pure exaggerating to the point of taking awful material and pretending I do that with everything is ridiculous.

Dick head.

Yeah, you totally never defended Encore.
How the fuck does Crazy In Love suck balls - The flow is insane and the lyricism is on another level.

There's nothing on his previous albums that even comes close to that wordplay.

It's called maturing. Idiot.

I agree Encore had some filler tracks but calling it a piece of shit is way harsh.

Mosh, Crazy In Love, Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road, Evil Deeds...

Shit? I'd like to see you make better. Actually scrap that argument, it's childish. I'd like to see you name any other hip-hop around 04'/05' that was better.

Then 05 came When I'm gone, 06' = No Apologies.

So I don't know how you can say he's fell off.

Just because he doesn't rap about his dysfunctional mother anymore so you can sit there crying like a loser thinking you're relating.

No but they're his SERIOUS songs.

He had stupid lyrics on The Slim Shady LP, MMLP, EmShow and Encore

It's called being versatile, he's just being himself, there's a silly and serious side to him.

Encore had lots of serious lyrics. Mosh is one of the most mature and classic Em songs I've heard in a long time. It had aggression, grit, power, it's class.

Evil Deeds, serious song, emotional and class.

By Encore he had done his personal stories to death so he could hardly have more emotional songs about Kim and Halie. I know you had Mockingbird.

But I think he purposely went a bit the other way so he didn't repeat himself.

And Big Weenie and Rain Man and My 1st Single etc. (All the silly tracks) were quick tracks he made to compensate for the leaked ones. Why do you think the production is so stripped. They were rushed.

On topic, no Relapse won't be remembered as a classic. He kinda killed that when he started criticizing it himself.

All this. Seriously. :y: :y:

Rest of you who disagree are just jackasses. Unless you have legitimate reasons for your opinion, which none of you seem to have other than 'it sucks!' .. for no reason.. So many people saying the album sucks as a WHOLE, that you get so fucking brainwashed that EVERY track sucks, which is completely untrue. Album has some great songs on it, but has one too many songs that just dont belong. But it DOES have some great songs none the less.

And honestly i swear that most of you dickheads have never even heard the album :facepalm just hopped on the band wagon saying it sucks without ever hearing it just because everyone else is doing it. OR listening to it for the first time with the idea that it sucks drilled in your head before you ever hear it. brainwashed.

We're jackasses if we don't like poorly written songs made by a drug addict? And we're the ones who are brainwashed?

Eminem sucked when he was on pills, period. They completely destroyed him as a person, physically AND mentally. Encore, the original songs made for Curtain Call, and his verses on The Re-Up all reflect that point.

if relapse will be remembered as a classic album? i really don't know, but in my opinion it's the old albums who's the best. typ infinite and the slim shady lp - they're amazing!
relapse is just too .. RnB-ish and it doesn't really stand out. when he did infinite and slim shady lp, he was a hardcore RAPPER. now he's just like any other hiphop-artist.

Listen people...I am one big Eminem fan but, if Relapse is regarded as a classic then a ton of other albums that were regarded as average have to be classics to.

Recovery classic after 5 years...DEFINITELY YES

Relapse classic after 10 years... I'm sad to say but no

relapse IS more r&b-ish compared to the earlier albums.
i barely can't listen to relapse without thinking about some other random r&b artist.

^You must mean Recovery right?

@MackBook - the rest of you who disagree that Encore sucks are jackasses? Christ, that's just pure ignorance. If I said "if you like Encore your a jackass" then I'd get every Stan from here to Instanbul on my back.

i was thinking about relapse when i wrote it, but, yeah, recovery is even more r&b-ish.
