I've loved computers since I was young but now that I've gotten older I don't think that's what I want to do for a job. I love social studies so I was thinking about majoring in political science and being a campaign adviser or something.

Look into the computers thing further. I'm only suggesting this because I was in your position not long ago, and I found a passion in computers that I didn't know I could after years of being interested in them and feeling seemingly at a loss with the idea of a career in technology.

The issue is that you need to pick something practical. There are plenty of politicians, but campaigns are seasonal, and many lower-level campaigns will not have paid campaign managers at all.

I suggest finding a bridge between your two interests. I am now in a position where I've decided to try and provide computers and full labs to impoverished areas utilizing thin-clients and low-cost servers. That's my goal, anyway.

Bridge your interests and try to find a practical solution that will fulfill both your monetary needs, and your idealogical goals.

I did Creative Writing, ended up working for Geico, made some good money for a little while. Also, I just recently got my associates in Film, so I'm looking to dip in to the world of television writing.

I don't recommend film, because in production, especially line production, I had to take accounting classes, and that shit was torturous. Calculus, algebra, trash. Though I do recommend creative writing.
