anyway, don't worry guys. Eminem will never sound the same in two different albums so shouting & fast flow are gone
i enjoyed them though.

Flow wasnt smooth or natural at all, like his previous work. Stop and go doesnt suit Em.
and some i felt he was just trying to force/fit in a lot of punchlines. I think it is a very good album but the production could have been better too. This is where the album lost some replay value for me.

MikeNUFC wrote:Just read through this whole thread and wanted to make some points:
1. Fuck you Kez for stealing my thunder
2. This thread has made me realize once again the ignorance of SOME Eminem fans on this site. Makes me annoyed just reading it. You sound idiotic YouTube users.
3. The OP made a very reasonable point about Recovery. You lot disgareed with it - that's fine if you write why with reasonable response. But no, it's just endless posts of pointless facepalm smileys, insults to the OP and "I hope Em doesnt go on TR" and "Eminem fans need to stop moaning" comments.
4. Eminem set a bar with his first 3 albums. That means everything after it will be judged against it. That's fair enough, if you start with such a high standard then people will want you to keep it up. Does he keep it up on Recovery? Nope.
5. Half the comments that praise the album hardly ever back up their points, yet when someone criticises the album and backs up their point they get abuse with no comeback argument.
6. Just becuase its "different" from his previous albums, that suddenly means no-one is allowed to criticise it. It's fucking ridiculous. What makes me laugh the most is the same people who spent a whole fucking year crying about the way Eminem pronounces his words on Relapse suddenly attack people for "nitpicking" about Recovery. That's hypocrisy at his best
7. As Kez put very well, Em has copied way too much of 2010 hip hop's style - constant bragging is boring and so un-Eminem like. The overkill of loadsof, most of the time, weak as hell punchlines - people on here keep saying how "clever" they are but they really arent. Half of them make no sense and add NOTHING to a song.
8. Recovery has so many filler lines it's amazing. A lot of the time Em adds on a word after the line like "woo" or similar sounds to make the rhyme. It's lazy.
Rant over.
Waits for endless amounts of "your an idiot", "Recovery is classic" and facepalm smileys. Which will only add to my point.

Recovery definetely is closer to being a classic than closer to being merely good. You think 4 stars is "nice"? The only think stopping Em from having another classic is classic production. You might have a point with the punchlines too, imo WBD wasnt the kind of track I was looking to hear from Em and there are a few weak punchlines scattered around the album.

what are you talking about? Recovery had better punchlines and better wordplay than any other Eminem album besides Infinite. In fact, there was next to zero punches and wordplay on any release after MMLP, and even that album was pretty straight forward lyricism.
