It seems to me that instead of posting an entire thread for the less popular opinion, you could have posted it in the million other threads about Recovery opinions.

Anyway, to me this album is the 1st or 2nd best when it comes to replay value (Behind/Tied with TES), so idk where you got that part of your statement.

My album rankings remain:

SSLP
MMLP
TES/Recovery
Relapse

I don't play Encore.

I'm not saying it's weak, but overrated.

how can it be overrated?

hardcore hip-hop fans dont even like Recovery and say Em has fallen off..
some even say his voice is unbearable they cant even listen the whole way thru

Eminems voice irritated me more on MMLP frankly.

Recovery is the best he's done, in my opinion.

The production is nuts, I'm glad he reached out to different beatmakers than Dre. But I gotta say So Bad has one of the illest production on the whole album.
The rhymes are tight as a motherfucker! Punchlines and wordplay throughout the whole bitch.
His voice has changed a lot since he first blew up, so it's only natural for him to sound different from album to album. And I think this style fits him perfectly!
And for the first time ever, I feel like I'm listenin' to a grown man when I'm bumping Recovery.
Don't get me wrong, I love the fucked up, childish, just-don't-give-a-fuck Slim Shady, but I prefer this to that.

Off topic as a mofo:
It sounds like a fuckin' owl in the beat of Medicine Ball... maybe I'm too stoned.

Would have been even better if they had been good punchlines and good wordplay.

Yes, there is certainly some of that, but way too much that's just embarrassing too. Overall, it's just not great.

Recovery is VERY far from being a classic.. It's a good album for 2010..
By far it's one of his better albums he has put up, but it's not even close to being at MMLP or TES level.

Give me Stan, The Way I am & Sing For the Moment over the entire Encore/Relapse/Recovery collection.

Those 3 songs define hip-hop.. not the 3 shitty albums he's put out. Em, give me back my $12.
You have gone commercial. Oh well.. there's nothing we can do :facepalm

My mother just read your post, and guess what, she thinks you're an asshole.

fans are never, never happy.
I'm glad Eminem doesn't read what some of you says, because if he does, he would probably stop doing rap and kill himself.

As more and more time goes on I'm thinking Recovery is on the same level as the Eminem Show for me. I rate TES as his 2nd best album (and sometimes put SSLP alongside that, depending on which day of the week it is lol).... so yea, for me Recovery is definitely one of his best, and in time could well seal that 2nd slot place all to itself. Its too early to tell yet, gimme another 10 months.
