I have no idea why people has been bringing this bullshit up lately...

Eminem has been doing this for years for the simple fact that it's harder to rap while you're runnin' around on stage then it is when you're standin' in the booth rappin'.
As far as I care, I don't give a fuck if he does it, the dude obviously puts on one hell of a show whenever he's on stage, and gets the crowd going.
