Carter 3 is Wayne's pinnacle though. Rebirth has nothing on Recovery.

If you want to compare Wayne's best with Eminem's best look at Marshall Mathers LP. Come back when Carter 3,4,5,708 or whatever sells 1.8M in a week.

Also apart from 1st week sales Recovery has been ahead each week after. I would like to see Wayne sell anywhere near this much when he is 37.

lilwayne4life, i'm all for defending your artist but so far the ONLY thing Carter 3 has over Recovery is first-week sales (unless several months later sales suddenly jumped back to 200k+), which gave it a 260k head-start. By the way Recovery is out-selling Carter 3 in the other weeks, you seriously think there's nothing to compare? Do you realize Recovery's 5th week sales outsell Carter 3's 5th week sales by 60k? I predict this and quote me if you will...Recovery will have overtaken Carter 3 sales in 4 weeks. And then you'll realise that in the long run, Recovery will outsell Carter 3 even if it was released like 3 years after it.

i think Recovery will beat Tha Carter IIIs end of year sales of 2.88 million. it may even be the highest selling album of the year, especially since theres no Gaga, but lady antebellum is at 2.5 mill right now

Why is everyone comparing it to Carter III? There's some people saying it doesn't matter because of the economy, and others saying it does matter so they compare 2nd-5th week sales. It's pathetic guys. BOTH albums are amazing, BOTH albums deserved to sell well and BOTH albums are completely different.

For one Rick Ross has never had a 200K week. So what if he is 4 for 4 with #1 albums. All those albums were outsold in there opening week by the only Eminem album to not Debut at #1. That tells you all you need to know. An Eminem album that didnt even debut at #1 had larger opening week sales then any of Ross is albums.

Also...He is still one short of DMX in #1 albums in a row starting from there debut. DMX was 5 for his first 5. His 6th Album debuet at #2.

So Rick Ross isnt even 5 for 5 yet. No doubt he will pick a week for his next album that has no competition as well more than likely. lol.
