not necessarily an advantage

anyway, as I've said before, I think in the future, with some perspective, Recovery will be considered to be pretty ordinary by Eminem's standards - and Relapse won't be considered to be one of his greatest works either, but it will still be held in very high regard because of the originality and incredibly creative concept.

Cinderella Man is better than anything on Relapse. Not even Deja Vu or SWA can compete with Cinderella Man.

Look, Relapse was great but I like all Recovery tracks (like in MMLP & TES case), only weak song for me is WTP... and the rest... Won't Back Down, Going Through Changes, No Love, Space Bound, Cinderella Man, Almost Famous and other, this is fuckin awesome! :coffee:

I was one of the people who said that relapse didn't have any replay value. But I listen to it more now than recovery. I think what threw me off about Relapse was that the SSLP,MMLP, and Eminem Show all jumped at me right off the bat. It was something I loved and wanted to listen to a lot. Relapse has taken longer to grow on me than the other albums of his has. But now that some time has pasted I don't mind listening to Relapse at all.

Relapse is very good album, if you ask me. But Recovery is great-superb-amazing-classic :worship:
"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "

The production on Recovery is just terrible. But how in the hell are CAB, OTS, and especially Beautiful duds? :shakehead: With no mention of We Made You :confusion:
And Not Afraid a dud? Wow I can see why people dislike this song, but are you kidding me? And no mention of Won't Back Down :coffee:

I said Wont Back Down's a dud (WBD). You obvioulsy thought I put WTP. (which I added in)

We Made You's a good track to me anyway. Concept was stupid but had some crazy rhyming, 5 syllable mutlies, nice beat and a smooth chorus.

Not Afraid is absolutely terrible. It's cliched, has a horrible chorus, irratating bridge and fan ass-kissing. His metaphors on this are cringe-worthy.

"Fuck the world, feed it beans, it's gassed up" - the first verse is poor but it could be the best verse of all time and that line alone would ruin it.

"Haters can make like bees with no stingers and drop dead"

"Quit playin with the scissors and shit and cut the crap"

Plus the beat is disgrace. Shitty tinny drums.

I'd go as far to say NA is the worst song since his comeback.

agreed with everything said about NA

aside from that though, idk about relapse, but over time recovery will surely approach classic album status, if not achieve it straight up.

Seriously?

What's so special about Cinderella Man? Cool song but Deja Vu is one of his best songs ever, not just on these two albums. Deja Vu is the Rock Bottom of the 2000s.

Anyone who says Relapse would be better without the accent is a fool. The accent was just a tool Em was using to bend words like crazy to make them rhyme so well. Without the accent the words wouldn't sound much alike, and your "lyrical masterpiece" wouldn't even rhyme.
