I think his next album will follow the same formula but I don't think it'll be quite as good as Recovery. I think it'll be somewhere between Relapse and Recovery in terms of quality. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

Hopefully he keeps going up one on the scale out of ten and gets this album to a tolerable 7

About this I'm talking with my friend.
"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "

Next album he can get crazy-creative with storytelling (not just horrorcore / murder stories), but more stuff like Stan, and other interesting concepts like Guilty Conscience, My Darling, and even crazy stories like My Fault. Also can be more songs about serious topics: politics, society and the trend the world is heading in, the state of music and entertainment, tracks recounting the (true or not) stories of other people, and topics about random things you wouldn't expect him to rap about (philosophy / religion, technology (and maybe how he stays old school), how the rap game is changing now that so many greats are pushing 40 and still at the top of the game sales /popularity wise, etc).

There's so much stuff he could do.

He should rap as long as he can....he can be like our generation's Bob Dylan or AC/DC, putting up huge sales and releasing socially significant material well into his 50's and 60's.

With all the good remarks from fans he'll probably just try to make it the same

Well considering he recently gave Lupe & Jay props, I'm guessing he's actually heard their albums. Those guys use a wide range of concepts/themes... that's the way to go.

As much as TMMLP lyrics kicked ass and how controversial it was, he'll never match it because believe it or not the album shows a ton of immaturity. I still think it's his best album though.

To be honest I see him moving more and more towards the mainstream style of rap that has been a feature in the last few years. Recovery has major aspects of it. Working with Wayne & Drake etc will only increase the constant use of weak metaphors and boring bragging on record.

Hope I'm wrong of course, and that Em improves - a lot can be improved in terms of style from Recovery, I reckon. His rapping ability is back in a decent place he just needs to stop with this punchline style and repetitive delivery, sounds so forced.

well tbh there is no garuntee, but from recent music I would strongly agree with the fact of his increase of music this past year.
The further he gets away from his past addiction the better his music increases, and I can't see why someone who release 3 forever classic albums at his best would not be able to get back to that mind state. He release 3 amazing albums and drugs influenced the next couple and in recovery he seems to be showing glimpses of what he can be/used to be when his mind is clear.
If he can get to the mental state of clarity he was once in there is nothing stopping him from releasing another classic. And ya it may not be as good due to his new style but he can't release songs that sound like his old music forever. We want him to release amazing songs just like he used to have but in reality he changes his style every album and I don't see how he can possibly fill the hole of what his fans desire.

He is a victim of his own success.

I'm not saying he should make music like his old records. But he's far too influenced by outside things - fans and the "type" of music expected in 2010. That's kinda why I love Relapse, becuase to me, it seems something he really wanted to make whereas Recovery has that forced feel about it.

I agree with you about him being influenced by the NEW artists out there. It's funny though how he says in Talkin 2 Myself to quit worrying about them and do shady or something similar to that but is doing the complete opposite. So he's basically in denial with this album.

^ I liked Relapse but it just felt TO insane. I love the murder shady who doesnt give a fuck but he was way out there. i cant explain it but the pre-drug albums just had a greatness feel no matter how far he went. Relapse just didnt have that feel.

Ya but i think thats not due to the fact of influence. I think thats just a glimpse of the scars of drugs. He is slowly healing and if he keeps getting better and his 100% is still where it was pre-drugs he has the potential of getting back to the greatness that he was.
The Eminem Show wasnt forced as much but still was a classic and it was what most would call his most pop "influenced" album behind Recovery.

He has been healing since he got sober and most seem to quick to say he is fully healed when in fact he could possibly still be only 70%-80% healed mentally/musically.

I want him to do a lot of good music until he can't do it anymore, if he has to do the songs with the accent, then just forget them songs. But if his next album is gonna be like Recovery, then it maybe better. But I hope so, Because Recovery was a classic (in my opinion) so it's gonna be hard to top another classic, but I think with Em's talent he will prevail.
You guys are gonna get so fucked up one day, I'm gonna laugh so hard.. Just so hard
