One of the women in the article said that the concept of mutual violence is a myth. It pisses me off because not all domestic violence relationships are ones where the man is the one completely terrorizing the woman. Men can be victims too, in fact there has been studies that shows that lesbian relationships has more cases of domestic violence than any other and women are actually more physically and emotionally abusive than men are, but its not as well documented because there's a stigma about men coming forward and admitting to being a victim of something like that. Just because Megan hits Dominic also, people are accusing the video of promoting victim-blaming when that's not the case at all. The video is an accurate depiction SOME domestic violence relationships. Just because the video doesn't have a nice peachy ending or doesn't follow the usual depictions of dv that's seen on lifetime, it hardly means that its glamorizing violence.

So yeah, sorry for the mild rant, but the whole thing was getting annoying to me. For someone's who's witnessed domestic violence firsthand, I appreciate the video and I'm glad its being talked about.

Haha, dont apologize at all. The video should come with your description as a disclaimer for all the bleeding hearts and their twisted morals :y:
Predominantly, predominantly, everything's always predominantly
Predominantly white, predominantly black
Well what about me? where does that leave me
Well I guess that Im between predominantly both of em
I think if I hear that fuckin word again Imma scream
While I'm projectile vomiting, what do I look like, a comedian to you?
Do you think that I'm kidding?
What do I look like some kind of idi- wait a minute, shit, don't answer that..

Yeah, no dude is going to come forward about his wife punching him in the gut after he said a dress made her look fat.

Anyway, I always thought it was obvious Eminem was intentionally using "abusive male rationalization" at the beginning of the third verse...the "it's BOTH our faults...you make me blow up." When it doesn't work, he mostly shifts the blame to himself out of desperation, admitting he's lying about taking responsibility at the end.

A poster on another blog said that for some people "representing" an issue means "glamorizing" it because it doesn't come with an easy solution and wraps everything up with a neat bow, I think this is what's happening in some of the more inane responses. But for the most part the blogs and newspapers have just taken the video and invited discussion which is IMO a very good thing. This song is a massive achievement and it cannot be said enough.

After watching it a few times, I also believe that the video does a decent job of transporting what is going on in the song(cornfield WTF and Enrique Iglesias aesthetic aside...).

"That's a classic line of an abusive man," says Terry O'Neill, president of the National Organization for Women. "You're as bad as me, so it's OK. The fact is, it's only 2-year-olds and violent men who use violence to get what they want."

Wtf. Shit like this is why people hate feminists. Self-righteous dyke.
Caution to the wind, complete freedom. Look at these rappers, how I treat 'em, so why the fuck would I join 'em when I beat 'em?

When I first heard the song on the album, I thought the ending was very controversial. There're people who literally burn the houses of their girlfriends when they're dumped. link. I'm surprised they're going out of their way to make up a controversial matter that ain't there when there's a perfect one they could pick on. Journalists are so not creative these days!
