Stillmatic>Illmatic

Postby LilWayne4Life » Aug 8th, '10, 23:12

Why do people say Illmatic is Nas best album and one of hip hop's best albums ever? Stillmatic is way better in overall quality, production, lyrically etc... it's my 3rd best album of all.

Gods Son has some of my favorite Nas tracks like Dance, I can, Thugs Mansion and The Cross but it has some bad songs as well. Just not as consistant as Stillmatic or Illmatic

I prefer both Illmatic and It Was Written more than Stillmatic. That album is good but there are some tracks that I still don't like.

Not a chance

Stillmatic is a weak album compared to Illmatic

One Mic is a classic and is Illmatic level, everything else though doesn't come close - and thats not really because its bad, it isn't, it just shows the quality of Illmatic

For the record I'd take God's Son, It Was Written and the Lost Tapes over Stillmatic aswell
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Illmatic is without a doubt one of the most revolutionary rap albums of all time.
Stillmatic is better.
