I was generalising both of their achievements, obviously.

That's basically what he's done, without you going on another one of your orgasm essays describing Ems art.. Which can be shortened to.. He's very lyrical :y: Ok buddy?

Oh, and major failure to recognise true influence?

I've seen you downplay Dre a few times, and you even said that it was debatable who had had more influence in music..

Whether you like Dre or not, just by facts, that's on another level of retardation :shakehead:

Challenge... I didn't say he was a better artist or anything. I asked why he is far better.

What I'm saying is, his contributions are more artistically significant to hip-hop.

Maybe to hip hop. But is quite debatable if they are to music in general due to the reasons I said before.

Dre has had a large and long influence through production and sound. But he isn't an artistic genius.

You don't think it takes a genius to have a large and long influence on production and sound? That's artistic and if you've influenced that particular thing for such a long time it's quite fair to say it's genius.

He just makes very loud, crisp, great beats.

You're the only one that seem to complain about the beats being loud. Surely if Eminem thought they were too loud he would ask Dre to turn them down a bit.

He contributes sound to hip-hop where as Eminem contributes something far more important. He contributes themes, lyrics, ideas and concepts. Things like "Stan" and "Kim" push hip-hop into untouched realms on so many levels.

And Dre doesn't contribute with concepts, themes and ideas through his production?

Dre has only remained relevant because of Em letting him pop-up on his album every few years.

Wow. Something you literally know nothing about. Study some ad-hoc hypotheses.

Would he have lost his talent if he signed somebody else back then?

Em made SSLP, MMLP and TES in the space of... four years total. And Dre did Chronic and Chronic 2001 in the space of... NINE years total.

You honestly think he has only made 2 albums? He has worked on tons of different projects.

And whether you laugh at this or not, neither of Dre's albums hold a candle to Em's first three. And I'm not talking sonics or beats. I'm talking as pieces of musical art.

The last parts are the whole essence of Dre. It's like saying "take away Em's rapping then he's just a clueless fuck". I don't think Dre has ever pictured himself as a ground breaking rapper or anything.

To say Dre has had more influence is one thing. But to call him a better artist than Em is a joke.

I'm so glad I never did.

And please don't respond with a fucking book next time.

Says the guy who try to take something away from one of the most influential producers of all time.

You're so close-minded, it's unbelieveable.
