Eminem :
Get your ass up for the Doctor, one more time
Get your ass up for the Doctor, c'mon now!
They claim that I'm violent, just cause I refuse to be silent
These hypocrites are havin fits, cause I'm not buyin it
Defyin it, envious because I will rebel against
any oppressor, and this is known as self defense
I show no mercy, they claim that I'm the lunatic
But when the shit gets thick, I'm the one you go and get
Don't look confused, the truth is so plain to see
Cause I'm the nigga that you sell-outs are ashamed to be

Awesome picture.

Also reminds you of the fact hip-hop is no longer just a young-man's game as it's been constantly quoted as. I mean there you have two legends both ruling or in the game, Em is 37... Nearly 38. Dre is... 45. Wow. Then you got like Kanye who is 33 now. You have like middle-aged men controlling rap.

Seems the acceptable maximum age is moving up every few years. In terms of sustaining a reputable career past a certain point to. Because rappers in the past have rapped to like 40 + but their career is usually dead before they get near that.

Hopefully we get at least two more albums out of Em.

And don't forget Jay-Z, who is 40. And Diddy is releasing another album soon, and he's 40. His last one in late 2006 sold over 700k.

The other legends who are 40+ have either fallen off in skill or changed their careers to acting (Ice Cube), producing, etc. Are there any other old school rappers who have arguably retained much of their skill at age 39+ who have continued to have lots of commercial success? What's going on with the Wu-Tang Clan?

Anyway, we have never seen anything like this before, with so many mid/late 30's & early 40's guys on the top of the game.

I'll bet Em, Jay, etc will become like our generation's Bob Dylan, AC/DC, Springsteen, etc, who sell many millions worldwide and are in their late 50's or 60's.

Rap is changing...it's still a really new artform, and even the originators are still only middle aged or so.

Anyone picked up a copy?

I can't wait to hear what Dre has to say about his upcoming release.
