I don't think there is anything to worry about. Not one of his albums sounds similar to another album.

Now EEm's in the same place in which he was before Encore. Think about it, the previous 3 albums were different sides to him and each were frest and original at the time but between TES & Encore the only thing to happen was a rap beef. Em just needs variety of concepts/song topics

Unless something major happens in his personal life, anything he says from now on, about his addiction or his family will be boring, to be honest, if it's delivered in a serious way.

That's what Em does. There's never been an album where he doesn't talk about his personal issues. It's one of the reasons he's so good.

Secondly, you shouldn't be saying that he needs to stop doing something, when you don't have any idea where could go from there.

I agree on the thought his next album being a pure hip-hop album... :y:, with more hip-hop elements and less personal things... :y:

He has two options:

1. Look outside himself for inspiration. Might be hard in the era of cell phone/social media zombies being content to just rot away in their zombie-like state, but maybe he could wake some people up somehow. I'm dying for a creative Eminem song again.

2. He can do what he originally had planned to do on Relapse 2..."get back to the hip hop shop days"...and do it more effectively than he did it on Underground. If the Westwood freestyles are any indication, he could channel the old sound pretty well...that might even be the perfect way to go out. Return to that shit for an entire album and just "not give a fuck"...of course, he'd still probably have to have some concept tracks in there to break up the monotony...but it would be interesting to see how the underground would respond to that sort of album from him.

I hope he gradually becomes like he was during The Eminem Show. That was his peak. The only thing is, he'd need to have some sort of drama, or else it would be just like Recovery lyrically. Don't get me wrong, I love Recovery, it's my second favorite album from him. But he basically covered all the drama that happened to him before this album and Relapse came out. He'd need something fresh to channel his energy

So why in the world do I feel so alone
Nobody but me, I'm on my own
Is there anyone out there
Who feels the way I feel
That there is then let me in and let me know I'm not the only one.

I'd like to see him talk about the world outside of his lil world. Talk about politics and the things that people are going thru. He should be able to walk around the city of Detroit and find things to write about. He needs to get out of the house and stop being a hermit.

If he just walk around Detroit, he'll have an entire album. There is a lot of shit that goes on in Detroit that needs Nat'l attention. Em needs to stop being a bitch and get out the house and see things for himself again.

like he hasn't thought of what you're all saying :coffee: if he hasn't put it out yet, it means it wasn't good enough. The way he is right now, I'm sure his next album will be good so i'm not worried about the content.

Almost Famous was way more creative than 25 to life. Using a concept that has been done to death already isn't creative at all.

Amadeo wrote:Although none of the songs on the album were all that creative, the most creative song on Recovery was Love The Way You Lie, the song where Eminem basically put into words what the Chris Browns of the world all try to say when they justify their behavior.

Not creative by any stretch. Love The Way You Lie was created to be popular, and it's certainly succeeded. Plus, he has done the topic to death. Shoving Rihanna on it doesn't automatically make it more complex just because Rihanna got her face smashed in and Eminem talks about violence in the song.
