You took the lyrics incredibly literally. It's undeniable that, for all the people who wanna throw hyperbolic theories that he's talking about hip hop, his relationship with Kim inspired most of the lyrics of the song. Does the fact that he hints at suicide at the end mean he's going to kill himself? Well, to suggest so is also to suggest that he's capable of throwing her off a cliff with his daughter, or tying a still alive Kim to a bed in a burning house, or even killing women by forcibly shoving bullets through their skin.

Personally i couldn't give a shit if he did say he was gonna kill himself; Relapse was made at a time he came out of a long-ass depression and half of that was garbage. I just can't be arsed with all the over-analysis Recovery keeps getting. I mean okay 25 to Life was clever, but why is it so hard for people to accept that Space Bound is a song about just love and relationships? Nobody's trying to suggest Love The Way You Lie is about something more, cause obviously we all know it was made to gain airplay and that's it. Space Bound is a similiar deal, though obviously more well-done than LTWYL by a mile.

And at the guy above, yeah, personally i don't see why he's doing love songs, both the songs i mentioned above are just derivatives, Love You More covered everything in those songs perfectly, and Love You More still destroys them.

Perhaps it was the vibe of the song that made me think about it more. I never delved too much into ''love the way you lie" I just assumed like you said it was intended to get mass appeal and reach a wider audience what with the chris/rhianna incident which is exactly what it did.
