50 Cent 'could never act like Eminem'

Postby S.T.A.N. » Aug 22nd, '10, 20:57

50 Cent has claimed that his fans would never accept his having Eminem’s sense of humour.

The hip hop star has said that if he ever attempted to pull pranks like Eminem, audiences would disregard him.

Speaking to Vibe, he said: "There are certain things artists do that I can’t get away with. Eminem could put on a dress as a joke and people will go, ‘Oh that’s Eminem‘. 50 Cent will do it and they’ll have a heart attack."

50 Cent also revealed that out of all the singers and rappers making waves in music, Andre 3000 is one of the few artists who still holds his attention.

He added: "I don’t respect enough of the artists to be out on everyone’s record. It just doesn’t make sense to me. You know whose career makes a lot of sense to me? Andre 3000’s does. He’s still interesting."

Source or GTFO
They claim that I'm violent, just cause I refuse to be silent
These hypocrites are havin fits, cause I'm not buyin it
Defyin it, envious because I will rebel against
any oppressor, and this is known as self defense
I show no mercy, they claim that I'm the lunatic
But when the shit gets thick, I'm the one you go and get
Don't look confused, the truth is so plain to see
Cause I'm the nigga that you sell-outs are ashamed to be

The album sold 160k in its first week which is very good by today's standards. Rihanna's latest album only sold 8k more than that and she's a big name!

He just uses this as an excuse.

Well maybe he genuinely believes that, but it's a pretty lame reason for not experimenting. Boxing yourself in to such a degree you think you have to remain and live upto (or down) this pathetic little image you've crafted. As an artist that's just ridiculous.

All that should matter is your own self-satisfaction. Especially at this point when he has no reason to do it for money. No excuse for it, he's just a bad artist. Well, not even an artist. Just an ex drug-dealer with a record deal.

Actually it sold like 114k or something. Interscope requested they add an extra week of iTunes sales or something, can't remember.

But it debuted at #5, no matter what way you look at it - Debuting at #5 for an artist that big, is a flop.

BISD was a good album
people are just tired of him bragging about his success
but at least he has the balls to say things others wont

^ Lmfao like what? Everybody has the balls to tell people how much money they have and how many albums they've sold. It's just good artists don't because it's lame.

It's not ballsy it's uncreative. And 50 is one of the most uncreative rappers in history. All he can do is rap about being a gangster, how much money he has or seducing women. And he does each of them worst than the last.

He originally sold from drama, some nice melodies, Em n Dre co-singing and image. But the less each of those have been involved, the worse you've seen him fail. That's why he tries to start a new slew of aimless beefs every single time. He's a gimmick. An awful lyricist with an embarrassing flow. I just wish he'd stop fucking up Em's tracks / career too.

It is not just 50 cent. A lot of artists would lose fans if they started cross dressing on stage, I can't see why this should be a reason to have a go at 50. There's always things that you can't copy from other artists; whether it's clothes, attitudes or lyrical style.

I'm not really fan of his music but I respect his talent. Sure he's not the most creative but he's still a good rapper (no matter how hard you try to take that away from him) and he has made a couple of good albums (especially POTD).

He's not the first one to face hard times. Get over it.

I like that he doesn't subliminally diss rappers but directly
he speaks the truth and tells it like it is

he does need to focus on his music more though because it seems that he tries to much to
do whats in style at the time rather than just do him.

So what man, he may not do it subliminally but what does he do instead? He starts pointless beefs out of thin air, lamely dissing somebody he's never met before, before every album.

It's such a see-through gimmick and he acts like it's not obvious. Look back on every 50 Cent album, he starts a beef right around the release date. Shows how little confidence he has in his own abilities. Beefs are so fucking lame. He can't let people just hear his music and forget all the other shit because he's terrible.

Regardless of if he focuses on the music or not, he's still awful at it. "How to Rob" he was genuinely good on. Since then he's gotten worse and worse. I mean the fact he quite clearly spent so much time on BISD yet still only came up with that shit is face-palm-worthy. He should stop.

Speaking of 50 I loved his response to Rick Ross.
