Well maybe he genuinely believes that, but it's a pretty lame reason for not experimenting. Boxing yourself in to such a degree you think you have to remain and live upto (or down) this pathetic little image you've crafted. As an artist that's just ridiculous.

All that should matter is your own self-satisfaction. Especially at this point when he has no reason to do it for money. No excuse for it, he's just a bad artist. Well, not even an artist. Just an ex drug-dealer with a record deal.

Get Rich Or Die Tryin' >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Encore, Relapse & Recovery

Every track is a banger

That album > Encore (in terms of consistency) yes but 100% not the other two.

I don't listen to albums for 'bangers'. I listen to rap for lyrics, flow... Obviously the beat / music has to be good too but with 50's music, it's all that's usually good. That album is nowhere near as good as Recovery. And I'd listen to Relapse over it anyday too, it's badass. Insane flows n rhymes, it's addictive. 50 isn't 1% the artist Em is and neither is his music.

Point is, 50 is an extremely limited person, rapper, everything. He can do very little and he does it very badly. You also took 50's first and only truly good album and compared it to Em's 4th, 5th and 6th albums. Hardly fair isit. How about we compare them when they both in their primes. And if we do that?...

SSLP, MMLP + TES >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anything 50 has or will ever put out.

50 has one good album (his 1st), his 2nd and 3rd are trash and BISD is better but inconsistent, predictable and uncreative (as usual). Compared to Em, having three goliath hip-hop classics in a row. There is no debate here. 50 Sizucks, Em does not.

^ you make good points, but its based on what you look for in an album. and while i agree grodt is better than encore, I think its better than relapse, but not better than recovery.

and i say that because i feel like grodt was a classic album, to me that was real rap, and it was dope all the way through except for p.i.m.p. but thats just my opinion.

lol I don't see anything he said there being wrong. Just like he said about Kanye, who i'm a fan of btw, if he puts out an r&b album with almost no rapping it won't be as highly received no matter the quality of the album. To me the main reason he's not selling or being recognized with his albums is because gangsta rap is pretty much dead. Back in '03 that's what everyone wanted to hear, right now pop-music, chick songs is what's hot. Not saying that's a bad thing maybe a lot of people like that stuff, even Em had to go out and get Rihanna and now that songs all over the radio. I know I really didn't answer the question but no I don't think he could do a lot of the things Em does, if he steps outside the box he'll be criticized because of his image, people will just see whatever he does as fake. Also GRODT>>>Relapse all the way. I'd give Recovery the slight edge but I agree that it doesn't come close to any of Em's first 3 major albums.

Well real rap to me is tight rhymes, tailored flows and creativity.

Now, GRODT barely had any of those things to me. I'm not saying it's not a classic album. But 50 has never been a great lyricist or great at riding a beat. He was however very good at creating melodic hooks. But it was largely Dre's production that made that album what it was.

So given what I look for, it's nowhere near as good as Relapse or Recovery. Em's rhyming is so amazing on Relapse it's absolutely... Well, actually any Eminem album even Encore has lyricism that's better than 50's best lyricism 10 times over. Obviously it ain't JUST about lyricism it's about execution and concepts too. But GRODT was hardly a creative album. He's been saying the same stuff since he came out, and to me that stuff gets redundant after a few tracks never mind five albums. It's basically "I'll pop a n1gaa for fucking with me" / "I gets mines when I'm stuntin" on fucking loop.

He isn't creative at all. What he brought to rap back then was a dark realism but his appeal relied heavily on his image, back-story and great production. Like I say, the less each has been involved, the worse his music has become. Every album aside from Encore shits on it.

PS. the fact that one of the worst lyricists (50) in the rap game is signed to the label of one of the best (Em) is a Bizarre paradox.

Get Rich Or Die Tryin' is better than Recovery.
Way better.

It has 4 Dre beats, that definitely doesn't make the album.
Get Rich Or Die Tryin' is one of the best albums of the last decade.FACT.

GRODT was a classic for a gangsta album. You know , the hardcore street rap.
Fifty cant rap but he tries and sometimes he can be really good at it. I think Em launched 50 only because he can serve as a good bodyguard for Em knowing his capability of taking shot at head still surviving. And if you look at the sales, he is in top 5 of the biggest selling artists of the decade. Things like that dont just happen randomly. Fifty had talent, thats why Em took pity on him. But he lost his grip after a period of time like Em did with Encore.
