Predict the Date of Em's Next Album...

Now, personally I would love another album in 2011 but I think the chances of that happening, realistically are very small. For a handful of reasons...



1. Recovery's demand / success. Given the continued commercial success of Recovery and the fact we ain't even at the third single yet, I can see them milking it for quite a while longer. As they should, it's a great album. But we're nearly in September 2010 already so I think if people think he's going to suddenly start working on another album anytime soon they're probably wrong. I think we likely still have another half a year of singles left yet.



2. D12 album - We still have yet to hear anything on this front. And at this rate, the D12 album won't be until fucking 2011 itself. Nevermind an Em album. And I don't think we'll be hearing another Eminem album until they do their thing together. I mean their last album was 2004, that's SIX fucking years with no official output now. That's a lifetime in music, crazy.



3. Slaughterhouse Album - I was listening to Crooked I speak about the Shady situation so to speak and also Royce, both of them saying that Em will be involved with the making of the material. As much as he wants to be. And that Em has said he wants to be on it and involved in it all. So given that, we probably won't hear another Eminem album till after their whole situation either. So I think we got a D12 album and a Slaughterhouse album until he even begins working on more solo shit. And think how drained he'll be by the time he finishes all that. Plus the fact he's just done two of his own.

So anyway, all that taken into account plus some other things like; possible touring, family commitments, the length of time he usually spends on an album etc. I think that we won't get another Em album for at least two years.

For the fuck of it, my date prediction is...
November 5th, 2012.

Maybe Em will take the time to sit and think really hard of a better concept album. I mean Em had to close Relapse with Recovery which forced him to put out emotional songs just to fit the theme, not because he was feeling that way. You could tell he was forcing a lot of emotion on recovery. ESPECIALLY on LTWYL. He has to think of a new concept album that he has never done before and get Dr. Dre to produce for him. The beats on Recovery are so bad it made the album so much weaker. I know Eminem can spit like he used to. Just look at the latest tim westwood freestyle he did. all 3 verses he laid were classic Em.

However fuck no should Dre produce it. Em should produce it himself. TES is easily his best produced album, he moulds his beats to fit his flows. Dre's beats ruin them.

I've heard him spit on enough Dre beats for a lifetime. He should definitely self-produce the next one as despite nobody crediting him as a top producer, everybody would seem to agree TES beats >> Recovery beats... Surely? And look who produced on Recovery. Some of the game's supposed old and new top producers and yet that's the results.

Not that I think the production is even that bad. But he definitely could of done better himself. I am however glad he finally ventured to working with other producers, for the sake of variety in his discography but I definitely think a self-produced one should be next up.

You're right about Em's production. I think Em has a natural talent for producing music as well. I remember reading an article somewhere on the internet about Dr. Dre giving Eminem tips on producing and he said he had the natural ear for it or something similar to that. So does Em lay down the lyrics before he starts on the production?
