last year I wouldn't believe that Em could dominate the charts like right now
Alaine wrote:^ because all singles before from relapse flopped. it's a chain reaction, one negative thing leads to another. If Beautiful was released instead of WMY I believe it would be a success. Lead singles are usually more noticeable than later singles, especially for a supposedly "comeback", that's why when WMY came out everyone quickly write him off . Damn thinking about how hard things were just 1 year agolast year I wouldn't believe that Em could dominate the charts like right now

Just like Em planned
you do realize that Rihanna is the main reason why LTWYL did so well?
All other Em singles fell off too...even Not Afraid was only #1 for one week

you do realize that it actually isnt because of the Rihanna? If it was some other girl on the hook this song would be major too, maybe not as huge, but still fucking huge, most of the people relate to Ems lyrics and not Rihannas.
Plus if its all cause of Rihanna why her last album flopped?

Even if it didn't quite match the success of the last album it still did quite well. That's not my definition of a flop.

Why exactly did her album flop? It sold more in its first week than her previous release and seems to get airplay all the time (well, at least in my country).

And her label is rushing new single & album to ride with LTWYL's hype, it's obvious. I heard she went back to making more dancy/poppy music in new album so it's clear that her label was disappointed with rated r.
