Em's next solo album is coming 2011, I'm starting to believe. I was going to post this question the other day: when will Eminem go back into 'recording mode'? I figured... hes been busy. The videos, the appearances, the upcoming concerts, possible collaborations - maybe he won't have a chance to record until 2011.

Then I stumbled upon this (possibly posted) article:

The entire article sounds like the author got the "new stuff is closer than you think" vibe. And while its a positive read, its this that really caught my attention:

With “Recovery's” creative and commercial success, Eminem feels that he’s back on that “footing” he lost five years ago — and is ready to move forward. He's hitting the studio “probably about five days a week” but has no firm plans yet for a next album. “I just make music and always like to write just to stay mentally on my game,” he says.

Hes already back in the studio? Recording "probably 5 days a week"??? Maybe I haven't kept up with the news, but - fucking what?

If hes already recording piles of music, I can't imagine a new solo album not dropping next year. You KNOW that the label is going to be pressuring him to come out with more material ASAP - and since hes ALREADY working on it, why not?

Do you know anything about Shady/Aftermath at all?
Detox could be out in 2015. Cashis? Don't think they're prioritizing him. And as far as I know the Slaughterhouse deal ain't even a done deal just yet. D12, maybe... But don't cross your fingers for a Detox album before another Em album.

I reckon Detox will come out fourth quarter 2011 or the first quarter of 2012.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we saw at least an Eminem mix tape half-way through 2011, or even a full album. I'd love to see a re-release of Recovery (Kinda like Relapse: Recovery) with more of those kind of songs, or maybe even a concept album. I dunno, I'm up for anything Em's got planned for us. As long as it's quality.
